Privacy policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
SequenceConversion is a free sequence file converter provided by bugaco.com. The site is supported by advertising. This page explains what happens to your files and what information is collected when you use the site.
Your files are used only for conversion
- We use a file you upload only to perform the conversion you ask for.
- The file is copied to temporary storage on our server and converted, and the result is sent back to your browser. The temporary copy and the converted result are deleted as soon as the download finishes.
- We do not keep, review, share, or sell your files or their contents, and we do not add them to any database.
- If a conversion fails, our error log records only the formats you chose and the type of error. It never records the file name or contents.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records basic request details: IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and browser type. We use them only to run and secure the site, and keep them only as long as needed for that.
- The site has no user accounts and uses no analytics or third-party monitoring services.
Advertising
The site is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Google's ad code loads on converter pages. Google may use cookies or similar identifiers, along with browser and device information, to show, personalize, and measure ads. Ads never receive your files. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, or change ad personalization in Google's ad settings.
Your choices
- Where the law requires consent, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choice before ads use cookies or personal data. You can accept, decline, or choose specific purposes.
- If Google asked for your choice, you can change it with “Privacy and cookie settings” at the bottom of any converter page. Visitors who are not asked do not see that button.
- In California and other US states with privacy laws, showing personalized ads can count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information. Visitors there see Google's “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link and can use it to opt out.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. The converter works without them.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information for money. Information is shared only with Google for advertising, as described above (which some US state laws treat as selling or sharing), or when the law requires it.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
